Scope: Full redesign and redevelopment of client website, including improved site structure, content brand presentation, performance optimisation, and SEO readiness.

Background & Client Goals

Clearwater Media Group (CMG) positions itself as “launching, growing, and turning ideas into thriving digital destinations.” Clearwater Media Group Their “About” page states:

“We started Clearwater Media Group with a simple idea: build digital brands that stand out for their integrity and impact… we’ve grown into a network of thriving websites and online communities, reaching millions every month.” Clearwater Media Group

Given their mission, the primary goals for the website redesign were:

  • Presenting the company’s brand and portfolio of media brands (e.g., America Rewind, Century Homes America, PawDown, Remodr) in a modern, professional design. Clearwater Media Group
  • Enhancing user experience (UX) and clarity of navigation for visitors (partners, talent, brand owners).
  • Optimising site performance and speed (important given high-traffic ambitions).
  • Ensuring the site is built on a flexible, maintainable WordPress foundation, so CMG’s team can scale and add new brand lines.
  • Setting up strong SEO foundations so the company can improve organic visibility for its media brand network.

Amod Khan Digital was engaged to bring these goals to reality — taking the existing site (or previous version) and rebuilding it with best-practices in theme, performance, and SEO.

Project Scope & Planning

Discovery & kickoff
In the early phase, Amod Khan Digital engaged with the CMG team to collect requirements: brand guidelines, target audiences (media buyers, content creators, sellers of digital properties), desired site architecture, content assets (brand names, logos, media kit). We mapped out key pages: Home, About, Portfolio/Brands, We Buy Sites, Contact, and Blog/News (if applicable).
We also reviewed competitor sites in digital media, media-brand networks, and digital property acquirers.

Architecture & design

  • Designed a clean and modern layout leveraging GeneratePress theme for stability, speed, and flexibility.
  • Use of GenerateBlocks for custom layout components (e.g., full-width hero sections, brand cards, call-to-action blocks, testimonial modules).
  • Mapped navigation so that key brands and services are clearly visible and accessible from the homepage and main menu.
  • Adopted responsive design ensuring the site works well on desktop, tablet, and mobile (critical for media-network visitors).
  • Visual style aligned with CMG’s existing brand identity: strong typography, high-contrast calls to action, brand logos grid for their media brands.

Development & build

  • Set up WordPress with GeneratePress (child theme), configured GenerateBlocks to build custom sections without relying on oversized page-builders.
  • Built modular page templates: e.g., brand listing template (for America Rewind, etc.), service template (We Buy Sites section), blog / resource template (for future content).

Performance optimisation

  • Installed WP Rocket and configured caching, minification, lazy-loading of images/videos, and database optimisation.
  • Verified site speed across devices and reduced load times (especially mobile).
  • Ensured that the GeneratePress theme + lightweight GenerateBlocks gives a small footprint and fast initial load.
  • Checked with Google PageSpeed Insights and made adjustments (e.g., deferring JavaScript, optimising images, proper caching headers).

SEO implementation

  • Set up Rank Math SEO plugin: configured site-wide schema markup, sitemap, breadcrumbs, meta titles/descriptions, Open Graph tags for social sharing.
  • Optimised each page’s on-page SEO: meaningful headings (H1, H2), alt text for images, concise URLs, and internal linking (e.g., from homepage to each brand page).
  • Created clean permalinks, implemented canonical tags for duplicate content prevention.
  • Added analytics/tracking (Google Analytics / GA4) and set up Google Search Console integration.

Testing & launch

  • Conducted cross-browser and cross-device testing (Chrome, Firefox, Safari; Android, iOS) to ensure design integrity and functional forms.
  • QA-tested (broken links, 404s, forms submission, mobile menu, caching behaviour).
  • Pre-launch backup and staging verification.
  • Went live and monitored initial performance, indexing, and SEO metrics.

  • Improved user experience for site visitors: clear navigation to brands, services, contact.
  • SEO‐ready site infrastructure: setting the stage for improved organic traffic and search visibility.
  • A future-ready platform: scalable for addition of new brands, content, and service offerings.

In post-launch monitoring, we observed (hypothetical metrics you can insert if you have them):
